Whenever talks with the US take place the two shady characters, Dimitriev and Proskuryakov, seem to be lurking in the shadows. They know how to manipulate Trump and his team.
Trump’s dispatch of Witkoff and Kushner to Moscow after the Miami talks with the Ukrainian delegation is very likely to result in the same Russian proposals we’ve seen over and over again. You have to ask yourselves why Witkoff and Kushner didn’t go to Kyiv? They are the guys pulling the strings. Their interlocutors are always Putin and his top dogs.
The Ukrainians always talk to the lame ducks in the Trump administration and I’m being nice by calling them lame ducks. They’re Trump’s useful idiots who keep up the illusion that there’s something to be had through negotiations.
Unfortunately that’s what’s really going on. As I said last week, it’s a masquerade!
