I’m convinced Woody Johnson is just a very giving man. Consider this: The AFC championship game has had either the Chiefs or the Pats ( or both) in it for the past 15 years. The two years preceding - 09 and ‘10- the Jets were in it. I believe he felt it unfair to dominate and so chose- CHOSE- to give the rest of the AFC a turn.
I, for on,e am proud to be a fan of such a magnanimous franchise
IU is the first 16-0 National Champions since 1894. That’s, as they say, ‘pretty, pretty, pretty, good’.
Luckily for them, I wore my IU sweatshirt the whole game.. Might have been the deciding factor.
This is the time of year when I get reeeeeeeeeeally tired of winter. Then I- every time- look at the calendar and figure out it’s not even halfway done yet. Luckily, it was 6 degrees ‘real feel’ this morning, and the early forecast is for 10-16 inches of snow Sunday.
I think I have mentioned that Cody is a morkie. 16 pounds soaking wet. Somehow, in his head, he is part Huskie. Translation: He loves running through the snow, and he enjoys walking into the icy gales. Luckily, I have the honor of accompanying him on these forays.
Heavy selling in Japanese debt rippled through global bond markets. Investors balked at Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s election pitch to cut taxes on food, pushing Japan’s 40-year rate to a fresh high.
Trump overnight threatened to impose steep tariffs on champagne after French President Emmanuel Macron ruled out joining a US-led peace initiative.

The Federal Reserve is now losing $100 billion a year because of “mistimed” asset purchases, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says in an interview with CNBC.
Bessent: “Everyone take a deep breath. Do not escalate. Do not escalate. President Trump has a strategy here. Hear him out and then everything will be fine.” Huh??
FT-”The US Treasury secretary has dismissed the EU’s ability to quickly agree a forceful response to Donald Trump’s Greenland-related tariffs, predicting the bloc would likely form “the dreaded European working group” rather than take rapid action.”

Global long rates are heading higher. When does that meaningfully impact US rates?
Commercial real estate continues to be a back-burner issue, and with rates sliding higher and massive amounts of loans coming due this year, may rise to Defcon 2 or 3 quickly.
Are we SURE this isnt some metaversal sitcom?? Again..NOT The Onion
