Good morning Beautiful People!
I’m in Montgomery, Alabama attending the third annual Democracy Defenders Summit, hosted by the African American Policy Forum and Equal Justice Initiative. I’ll be here for the next few days visiting legacy sites and collaborating with scholars, activists, educators, artists and others on how we meet the challenges of this current political moment.
Yesterday, I visited the Legacy Museum for the first time. I went in looking down. Looking for the children. I always look for children because history so often hides them or overlooks them. So in this audio reflection, I want to share my thoughts on what I saw.
