A recurring theme for items in the news this week has been that Democrat politicians think voters are dumber than a box of rocks.
Of course, we’d already known they considered voters --- especially black voters, judging from their strategies --- to be too stupid even to be able to obtain IDs before exercising their right to vote. Why, that bar is just too high for everyone in our wonderfully diverse community to reach, even if it helps protect against election fraud. How offensive this must be to black people who are in possession of IDs, which is to say all of them, at least the ones who are legally entitled to vote.
Then, this week, we learned Democrats think Alaska voters are too brain-dead to realize that the “Dan Decoy” candidate whose name they put on the ballot is a different person from the real Dan Sullivan candidate whose name appears just below. (Or at least they think enough of them are that dumb that this scheme might change the outcome of the race; otherwise, they wouldn’t have bothered to concoct a way to siphon votes from the actual candidate.) Democrat campaign officials --- apparently with their candidate’s knowledge --- very obviously tried to put one over on the voters, and a mere prosecution and jail sentence are almost too good for those slimeballs. Talk about an assault on “our democracy.” We have an update on the investigation of this dirty trick elsewhere in today’s Huckabee Post.
