Fill up your gas tanks and buy your Thanksgiving airline tickets yesterday because prices are about to surge thanks to Trump and Netanyahu’s failed, escalating war with Iran.
Over the weekend, missiles from southern Iraq significantly damaged the 800-mile Saudi Arabian pipeline, disrupting about 5% of the global oil supply. The Strait of Hormuz remains closed, and now Houthis, backed by Iran, control the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait connecting the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean. While this is happening, Trump has escalated his ruinous trade war with America’s ally and trading partner Canada.
The result? A massive spike in prices due to energy, gas, and food shortages across the world. Costco announced it is rationing motor oil, and diesel gas just recorded its highest price in history. The last time we witnessed such trends was during the 1973 OPEC Crisis, which led to long gas lines and eventually a recession.
But have no fear, because America somehow always finds money for wars and Israel. Trump announced a $2.8 billion weapons package, paid by our taxpayers’ dollars, for Israel, which includes 40,000 one-ton missiles. Democrats have placed pro-Israel war hawks, such as Jared Moskowitz, on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and continue taking money from AIPAC, AI, and Crypto.
However, the culture has shifted. Bullying and smearing no longer work. Ed Sheeran is finding out the hard way after he caved to pressure from billionaire and Trump-Netanyahu ally Robert Kraft and kicked Macklemore from his tour. The hip hop artist’s crime? He used his opening act to say, “Free Palestine,” and spoke up against genocide and apartheid. In solidarity, all of Sheeran’s opening acts and even his touring band have quit the tour.
