Listen Y’all, I’m not the least bit outraged by it because I’ve spent far too much time in the American archives studying racist visual culture. And I’ve already reach the point in my life where I don’t expect anything from a racist culture that has survived for CENTURIES because it knows how to mutate and invent new ways to dehumanize Black folks.
But I do have some thoughts on how we need to return this pathological boolshit to sender instead of getting mad, getting our blood pressure up, and wasting precious time trying to prove our humanity.
