We’re talking about her brother, Harris, and his tragic death because of an opioid overdose. Steph and I have talked on this podcast before about her brother’s death and the fallout from it: once with her mother, and once when we went over some of your experiences with sibling loss.
If you’re familiar with grief, you know the feeling: reopening the wound that the loss left may get easier with time, but it never stops hurting. That hurt can be debilitating and leave you a shell of who you were, unable to move or conjure up an emotion besides numbness for months.
