Last year I put together a list of the best political reporters in every single state. I am republishing it today as a resource for anyone looking to get best-in-class political coverage in these last two weeks of the campaign.
The list is a combination of people I have liked and followed for years, suggestions from political consultants and other pros in the states and nominations from my followings here on Substack and social media.
I have done my best to cast a wide net. Some of the reporters on this list do purely political journalism. Others are investigative reporters who occasionally venture into politics. Still others are influential columnists in their states.
I also worked hard to make sure that both legacy and independent media are represented here. As well as TV and digital. And even a radio reporter or two!
