**The numbers:**An Anti-Corruption Data Collective report found about $183 million has already been wagered on the 2026 midterms, roughly double the entire 2024 cycle. It warned the markets are thinly traded and easy to nudge, with a few thousand dollars able to move most races by five points.

Jimmy Kimmel says his interview with Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talarico is moving to YouTube rather than airing on ABC, saying Trump and the FCC have pushed networks to limit on-air candidate interviews.
The move echoes February, when Colbert said CBS lawyers pulled his own Talarico interview over equal-time rule concerns. That backfired: the YouTube version drew millions of views and reportedly helped Talarico raise $2.5 million.
**The backdrop:**Talarico is in a tight Senate race against Ken Paxton, and his interview was set to post online Thursday night. ABC denied a Page Six report that the show will end after next season, calling any such claims ‘purely speculative’. Kimmel is up for six Emmys this year.

A 22-year-old Singaporean national, Malone Lam, pleaded guilty in federal court to running a global cybercrime ring that stole about $245 million in cryptocurrency, and he now faces up to 20 years in prison.
Prosecutors say Lam recruited co-conspirators through Minecraft and Discord, then used social engineering, tech-support impersonation, and even break-ins to drain victims’ wallets. His single biggest score convinced one Washington, D.C. man to hand over more than 4,100 Bitcoin.
**The tell:**Lam flaunted the money on luxury cars, watches, and $500,000 nightclub tabs, which drew scrutiny fast. His case marks the first time federal racketeering (RICO) charges have been used against crypto thieves, and officials hope his plea leads to more arrests among the 13-person group.
