Megyn Kelly suggested the anonymous Cornell student who says she was gang raped at a fraternity may have enjoyed it, calling her "not the most attractive gal." Kelly also claims to know Jane Doe's identity and says she's weighing whether to reveal it.
Kelly argues it’s unfair that the accused men are named while Doe isn’t. Critics call the remarks victim-blaming and note online efforts to name Doe have already targeted the wrong women.
**The fallout:**Kelly told Olivia Rodrigo to stick to singing after the star backed Doe. Some are questioning why SiriusXM gives her a platform. Separately, Cornell’s faculty senate introduced a no-confidence resolution over leadership’s handling of the case.

At a Nebraska rally, President Trump said that if Iran took out Los Angeles or San Diego, it would be "a very small price to pay," predicting the war will end soon.* *He also promised every adult citizen $5,000 if Republicans win the House and Senate.
San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office and Jim Desmond, the Republican running for Congress in San Diego, all condemned the Iran remarks. Some supporters said Trump was clearly joking.
**The backdrop:**A Reuters/Ipsos poll puts Trump’s approval at 32%, his career low. New York Times/Siena polls show Democrats leading Senate races in Alaska, Ohio and Texas. Republicans counter that Democrats’ cash shortage and gerrymandered maps keep the GOP competitive.

Today’s Poll:Trump TalkTrump said an Iranian strike on Los Angeles or San Diego would be “a very small price to pay.” Supporters said he was joking, while critics condemned the remark as inappropriate given the potential loss of American lives.
What’s your take on Trump’s LA and San Diego Iran remarks?
Texas AG Ken Paxton is investigating whether the American Academy of Pediatrics and others are deceptively promoting childhood vaccines for financial gain. A New York Times report finds small practices bearing the brunt, despite Paxton's vow to target large providers.
The academy says its vaccine advice rests on decades of peer-reviewed science. Critics see the probe as a bid for Trump’s favor ahead of his tight U.S. Senate race against Democrat James Talarico.
**The toll:**One small-practice pediatrician, called "Dr. Rachel" by the Times, says she's spent nearly $15,000 in legal fees answering Paxton's demand for 10 years of vaccine records. Those records were mostly receipts for $18 shots and a $40 batch of cookies from a vaccine maker's rep. Now facing a second demand, she's considering closing her practice.
🐦 Birds: European hoopoes rely on helpful bacteria in their preen glands to make their unusually pungent, brown feather-protecting secretion. Their natural body odor is basically a tiny chemistry lab.
🎨 Art: Vincent van Gogh created about 2,100 pieces of artwork during his lifetime. The man did not believe in taking weekends.
♈ Astrology: The word * zodiac* comes from an ancient Greek term meaning “circle of little animals.” Even astrology has a mascot section.
🤯 WTF: Some sea slugs can cut off their own heads and regrow their bodies, including hearts and other organs. That’s one extremely aggressive reset button.
TODAY’S QUIZ ANSWER:
The far side of the Moon
The Soviet probe Luna 3 snapped the first-ever photos of the Moon's far side on Oct. 7, 1959, using film it developed onboard before transmitting the images to Earth. It took 29 photographs, covering about 70% of the far side. They revealed a surprise: the far side has almost none of the dark lava plains seen on the near side and is heavily cratered instead.
