Social media is split over Kelly Clarkson’s visit to the Art of Play store in Brooklyn. Some call her entitled, while many defend the beloved singer and criticize how the shopkeeper allegedly treated her.
Podcaster Pablo Torre posted footage of the visit. It shows a quick exchange in which Clarkson points at a singing bird named Molly and appears to voice frustration on her way out. Torre and his cohosts appeared to sympathize with the store.
The reaction: TikTok skits poke fun at the dispute. Some commenters say the owner’s dramatic responses to media outlets are making things worse.
Federal agents searched Rep. Ilhan Omar’s D.C.-area home on Monday. The Justice Department said it authorized the warrant as part of an ongoing criminal investigation. Reports say about a dozen subpoenas have been issued, and U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro announced a separate probe of Omar's financial disclosures.
Two officials told The Washington Post that agents are focused on whether Omar or her father lied about her birth date so she could gain citizenship through him as a minor. Omar has said she cannot obtain a birth certificate because of Somalia’s civil war.
**The reaction:**Critics say the timing conflicts with Justice Department policy on political cases near elections. Hasan Piker warns the search sets a precedent against naturalized citizens. Laura Loomer cheered the search and urged denaturalization for NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

Reports say it was caught early, he did not need chemotherapy before surgery, and the roughly 90-minute operation had no complications.
**The outlook:**Doctors say his health should allow a normal life after this surgery. The Vatican says he will stay in the hospital about a week, and his public engagements are on hold until October 20.
