U.S. Representative Haley Stevens, who lost the Democratic primary to Abdul El-Sayed, criticized his campaign on CNN days before the election. She said she still plans to vote for him but won’t campaign with him in the race’s final week.
Stevens, a strong supporter of Israel, objected to an El-Sayed ad featuring conservatives like Tucker Carlson, and an outside PAC ad she said blamed Jews for grocery prices. El-Sayed’s campaign says it has no ties to that ad.
**The household split:**Her fiancé, Jason Turkish, says he’ll vote for Republican Mike Rogers. El-Sayed said voters can make their own choices in a race considered a toss-up.
