Happy Sunday! And Happy October!
I spent part of this week in Michigan visiting family. I forgot how beautiful Michigan is this time of year. The leaves are changing, the air is crisp, everything looks gorgeous. My allergies, however, would like to file a formal complaint.
I have been miserable. DYING. Dramatic arm draped over forehead, questioning all of my life choices, miserable. Apparently, my immune system took one inhale of autumn air in Michigan and declared war.
Anyway, I’m back in Florida now. Not quite breathing again. But never fear :) I still will write!
Before we get into the week, though, I want to repeat something I mentioned in last Sunday’s Ledger because it’s going to matter more as some of these investigations move forward.
I’m going to be very protective of some of my upcoming work. The paywall on those investigations is non-negotiable.
Some of what I’m researching has gotten much deeper than I ever anticipated, and I’m now working with other researchers and organizations as pieces of these investigations overlap. I’m going to share what I can, when I can, but the deeper investigative pieces will remain for paid subscribers.
I know another subscription isn’t something everyone wants to add, and I’m sorry. I genuinely understand that.
But I’m not disappearing behind a paywall. I’ll still be here every day with my Notes, including On This Day, notable Jewish figures, Infidel Awareness Month, and whatever else catches my attention. I’ll also continue publishing one or two free full-length articles each week. There will always be plenty to read here whether you’re a free or paid subscriber.
I just need to protect the work that needs protecting.
I hope you had a wonderful week and an even better weekend.
Let’s get into it.
If you’re new to The Lioness Writes and wondering where to begin, start here.
This one probably comes closest to explaining what I do and why I do it. It follows some of the pieces of Jewish and Israeli history that keep disappearing from the story and shows how much that story changes when you put them back.
And if you finish it wanting to keep going, I left you plenty of rabbit holes.
Some things don’t need 3,000 words and seventeen open archival documents. Sometimes I find something interesting, infuriating, funny, weird, or worth knowing and bring it straight to Notes.
Here are a few from this week:

Renowned historian Simon Sebag Montefiore wades into the ideological battles and geopolitical tensions of the Middle East with a comprehensive and nuanced chronicle that situates the region in the context of its last one hundred and twenty-five years.
Few understand the real history of the Middle East; fewer still understand its variety and cosmopolitanism, its complexity and interconnectedness.

“appreciate the research - I work as an attorney in the Islamic expansion agenda space.””

“appreciate particularily the work you put in to find, research and present real data in support of Israel and against antisemitism. I find your pieces informative and shareable. I also appreciate the spotlight you shine on others work supported by facts. Keep up the great work.”

“THANK G-D FOR YOU!”
I really do read these. Thank you.
The Lioness Writes is my full-time work. My publication is entirely reader-supported; paid subscriptions give me the time to research deeply, chase sources, buy books, dig through archives, and keep this work independent.
For $75 a year — about 21¢ a day — you get full access to everything I publish, including the deeper investigations that are becoming a much bigger part of what I do here.
Become a paid subscriber — $75/year.
Not ready for another subscription? I get it. ** Buy me a coffee instead.** There’s no subscription commitment, and every cup is very much appreciated.
However you’re here — paid, free, sharing an article, restacking a Note, or sending something I wrote to someone who needs to read it — thank you for being here.
See you tomorrow.

P.S. I’m finding an alarming number of your emails in my spam folder lately. I promise I’m not ignoring you! My inbox just seems to have developed opinions about which emails I’m allowed to see. If you’ve emailed me and haven’t heard back, please reach out through Substack Chat instead. I see those messages all the time.
P.P.S. We recently crossed 1,000 paid subscribers, which means I now have a nifty little 1K badge. I may be slightly more excited about the badge than a grown woman should be. 😂 Thank you to every single one of you who got us here.
