Happy Sunday to you!
I’m not entirely sure where to begin this week because I have so many investigations going at once that my head is spinning.
I started pulling on individual threads that friends kept sending me. Churches. Universities. Nonprofits. Activist organizations. Interfaith groups. Money. People who keep appearing in places I didn’t expect to find them. The deeper I’ve gone, the more those separate threads have begun running into each other…we’re talking one giant network across every state, into Canada and the UK...
And the map keeps getting bigger.
I’m also no longer working entirely by myself on some of this, thank goodness. I’m sharing research and working with other people and organizations because some of what I’m finding overlaps with work already happening elsewhere. That’s exciting and, frankly, quite overwhelming.
It also means some of the upcoming investigations will be heavily paywalled, and I want to apologize in advance. I’ll continue sharing plenty with everyone because I never want the free side of The Lioness Writes to become an afterthought.
So that’s where we are. My browser has most likely become a public safety hazard, I’m pretty sure I need another whiteboard, and I have no idea how many people currently live in my spreadsheets.
It was a week. And what a week it was.
Let’s get into it.
You Don’t Hate Jews. So Who Taught You This History?
This one probably comes closest to explaining what I do and why I do it. It follows the pieces of Jewish and Israeli history that keep disappearing from the story and shows how much the story changes when you put them back.
And I have to mention one little side obsession.
I’ve been loving these music videos from Yehuda Meitav. The AI still has moments where you look at the screen and think, well, we’re not quite there yet, but the idea behind them is fantastic and I keep watching.
Karen Hunt is a Christian Zionist whose support for Israel comes through in everything she writes. She’s thoughtful, fearless, and willing to say what others shy away from. I enjoy her essays on Substack as much as the conversations she starts in Notes. If you’re looking for a strong voice and someone who stands firmly with the Jewish people, I hope you’ll read her Substack, Break Free Media.
“I appreciate particularly the work you put in to find, research and present real data in support of Israel and against antisemitism. I find your pieces informative and shareable. I also appreciate the spotlight you shine on others’ work supported by facts. Keep up the great work.”
“Thank you for sharing your in-depth analysis and excellent writing!”
There was a time when most of my research ended with an article.
That? Well…it isn’t always happening anymore.
The Lioness Writes is my full-time work. Paid subscriptions give me the time to research deeply, chase sources, buy books, dig through archives and keep this work independent.
For $75 a year — about 21¢ a day — you get full access to everything I publish, including the deeper investigations that are increasingly becoming a big part of what I do here.
Not ready for another subscription? ** Buy me a coffee instead.** There’s no subscription commitment, and every cup keeps the Lioness caffeinated and digging.
And whether you pay, share, restack, comment or send one of these articles to somebody who needs to read it, thank you for being here and supporting my work.
I have absolutely no idea where some of these investigations are going to take us next. At this point, I’m almost afraid to open another tab…but off I go. Pray for me 😂
