Attorney Dina Doll is an Arab Christian. Yes, they exist. In fact, they represent the majority of Arab Americans. Abdul El-Sayed is an Arab Muslim from Michigan. Regardless of your ethnicity or religion, if you are brown or Muslim-y, you become the enemy and must apologize for violent actions you’ve never done.
Bigots aren’t nuanced. They lump us all together.
If you don’t believe me, look at the first question Sarah Haines asked El-Sayed when he appeared on The View: "Do you believe that leaders have a responsibility to challenge the extremist views within their own religion?"
This double standard is the norm in liberal institutions and corporate media. It’s supercharged within MAGA, who openly promote Nazi talking points and conspiracies. Thankfully, it didn’t work with a majority of voters, especially the youth, who came out and rejected centrism in favor of a bold, new change. El-Sayed is part of that movement.
Trump responded by appointing Stephen Miller as his new Chief of Staff, signaling that he plans to double down on white supremacy as he lurches towards the grave.
