This is pretty interesting!
There is a newly developed measure for assessing diet quality in relation to the diversity of your gut microbiome. It’s called the ** Dietary Index of Gut Microbiota**.
And a higher DI-GM score was found to be significantly associated with a reduced risk of abnormal bowel symptoms.
The risks of constipation and diarrhea were both decreased.
Further research will explore whether dietary interventions targeting the gut microbiota can help reduce the risk of bowel disorders and inform future dietary guidelines. Right on!
And more diet help for IBS…
You are not alone.
