Tim Walz became Kamala Harris’s VP candidate because he energized the base with his passionate appearances on cable news, where he mocked JD Vance and MAGA for being “weird.” He went on offense and rallied the base. He was a solid choice for Harris considering his background and popularity in Minnesota.
So, what did the Never Trump Republicans and establishment Democrats consulting Harris decide to do? They muzzled him. They put him in a straightjacket for his VP debate, where he traded his barbs and wit for milquetoast talking points and conciliation.
When it comes to Gaza, Kamala Harris refused to differentiate herself from Biden’s failed policy that was complicit in Israel’s ongoing genocide. When we begged her to have at least one Palestinian speaker at the DNC, her brilliant team decided instead to put up Never Trump Republicans and Leon Panetta. She was more comfortable doing a campaign stop with Liz Cheney than with a Palestinian American.
How did that work out for Democrats?
They lost the White House, Senate, House, Supreme Court, and have low favorability ratings. Despite the losses, they still retain their shamelessness and arrogance. These are the forces trying to hold on to power, regardless of the harm to Americans. Even now, a month before the midterm election, they punch left and move to the right, and they won’t stop.
What will they do once they gain power? Do you believe they will use their platform to implement the politics of transformation and reform, or will they choose the politics of restoration as they continue to line their pockets?
