Amanda Ungaro, a former Brazilian model and former partner of a Trump envoy, has made an unverified allegation tying Melania Trump to Jeffrey Epstein, including a claim that Mrs. Trump had been an “escort” for Epstein. The allegation was made in a recording reported by The Daily Beast and challenges a long-repeated account of how Mrs. Trump met Mr. Trump. Paolo Zampolli, a modeling-world figure and Trump ally, has for years been credited with introducing Melania Knauss to Mr. Trump at a New York party in 1998.
Ms. Ungaro says that version is false. She claims Epstein, not Mr. Zampolli, introduced Mrs. Trump to Mr. Trump.
