Morning all. We got another inflation report this morning, and it was really, really bad. The Producer Price Index, what businesses pay for things, rose a staggering 1.3% in September, more than double what forecasters had expected. This measure of inflation has now risen 6.3% over the past year, more than three times the Fed target for inflation.
Let’s now review some updated graphs of both PPI and CPI (the main gauge of inflation) under Trump. They are remarkable visualizations of what a profound failure Trump has been, and why we must collectively and forcefully take the keys away from him in the coming months. For when Trump came to office inflation was nearing the 2% Fed target in all three major gauges of inflation. In essence inflation had been conquered, and Trump reignited it through tariffs, mass deportation, reckless fiscal policies, and the war, causing misery for workers, farmers, and small businesses across the country:
So he and the Rs have failed, bigly. What about us? That is perhaps the most important thing we discussed last night in my weekly presentation, which you can find above. For I don’t think the chattering classes have caught up to what has happened to the relative strength of the two parties in recent months. For two things are happening right now - the American people have lost faith in Republicans, and they have once again put their trust back in us to make things better and put things right.
I am now going to share a series of new data and graphs from Gallup, one of the country’s most respected independent pollsters. What this data shows is both Republican brand erosion and Democratic brand gains, putting us in one of the strongest position we’ve been with voters over the past forty years:
Throughout these graphs what you see is a steep upward line for us as the American people, seeing the Democratic Party through the lens of our inspiring Democratic candidates they’re meeting through our campaigns, have made a decision to once put their faith back in us. The country has turned to us in this time of profound crisis, in a time of profound abandonment and betrayal, and are giving us a mandate to govern, to make things better, and put things right while clearly taking away whatever narrow mandate and even legitimacy Trump and his allies once had.
Now we need to honor that fragile trust and deliver for them by winning these elections and taking power away from MAGA all across the country. The American people are calling us on to lead, and now my friends we simply must honor that desperate call by driving the early vote, running up the score, and winning these elections by as a big a margin as possible. For remember as Anderson Clayton told us last week:
Elections May Be Decided In November, But They Are Won In October
