On Tuesday, Donald Trump made his 40th fourth trip to Texas this fall, campaigning for Senate candidate Ken Paxton in Corpus Christi and Lubbock.
That the president has spent so much time in the final stretch of the campaign in a state that he won by 14 points less than two years ago illustrates just how badly tilted the national playing field is against Republicans heading into the midterms.
