Looking at the above image makes me physically ill. Listening to these vile people; following what they say and believe; it’s one of the most traumatic things about doing this work.
Your financial support keeps me in this chair.
Through the Midterm Elections, I’m running a 20% off annual paid subscriptions FOREVER special. $48/year (reg $60.)

Yesterday, I wrote about the hideous fanatical religious history behind the words heretic and infidel in two contexts: The live-streamed firing squad execution of a Muslim man by our military; and White Christian Nationalist extremist Joel Webbon’s call to execute White Christian Nationalist extremist Mike Huckabee the same way.
I provide a link for readers who missed it:
This is a very generalized discussion of basic differences between the camps.
Opus Dei and other extremist Catholic cults believe they are the only “true Christians.”
Only those who observe their many rules, including daily mass, strict adherence to all sacraments, aggressive recruiting, and in some cases self-mutilation, will see heaven. Other Christians - including many other Catholics - are heretics.
Regarding the end of the world, Catholics in this camp believe in the Second Coming of Christ but believe concepts like Armageddon, the Rapture, and the Great Tribulation are heretical. Instead, one must always be ready for Christ’s return by consistently doing God’s Work (Opus Dei.)
Southern Baptists generally teach that Catholicism is a works-based heretical religion.
Many Baptists also teach that other Protestant sects are tainted by Catholic beliefs because they came out of the Catholic church. (My WCN Baptist church taught that Jesus was Baptist because he was baptized by John the Baptist. I’m not kidding.)
Southern Baptists like Mike Huckabee believe we are living in the Last Days of the earth, along with Armageddon, the Rapture, the Antichrist, and the Great Tribulation, which lead to Christ’s glorious return. These beliefs have guided Huckabee to support the current war with Iran.
I cannot stress enough that radicalized religious beliefs in multiple camps and our failure to address them caused this Middle East conflagration.
Reformed Presbyterians and other reformed non-denominational churches also teach that Catholicism is works-based and claim the church places too much weight on following church dogma instead of trusting the blood of Christ.
See commentary from Reformed pastor Doug Wilson HERE. Many also criticize Southern Baptists and similar for enforcing allegiance to a denomination over faith in Christ (which is code for “dividing loyalties among too many leaders who compete with him” and similar to his criticism of Catholics.)
Generally, Reformed sects believe that Jesus Christ will return once “true Christians” (ie them) have either converted everyone on the planet and/or scoured the world of those who refuse to convert (*heretics *and infidels.) Which is why folks like Pete Hegseth are itching for New Crusades.
The New Apostolic Reformation is a charismatic Christian sect that believes in modern-day apostles who God speaks through directly, speaking in tongues, and strict dominionism.
(Everyone here believes in dominion, but this term is usually associated with the NAR/Seven Mountains Mandate.) Channelling God and speaking in tongues reveal who the “true Christians” are, so naturally other sects mentioned above are heretics.
Their End Times beliefs are similar to Reformed congregations, and they approve of actual warfare as “spiritual war.”
Again, this list is extremely basic. I’ve left out groups like the Mormons, because pretty much everyone above considers them an idolatrous cult. I hope it provides enough background for the balance of this discussion:
Their End Times beliefs and support for Jewish people are radically different.
Mike Huckabee (and most Southern Baptists) is a premillennialist (Jesus Christ returns before a glorious thousand-year reign on earth.) He believes that the nation of Israel must exist for Jesus Christ to return. He even uses Biblical names like Judea and Samaria for locations in Gaza because he fanatically claims the map must match the Bible exactly.
Worming his way into an Israeli ambassadorship was the perfect vehicle for him to guide the United States into a war that he believes will usher in the Rapture, the anti-christ, the Great Tribulation, Armageddon, and Jesus Christ’s return to earth. Therefore, he aggressively defends Israel and all Jewish people more generally.
Joel Webbon (and most Reformed sects) is a postmillennialist. This is the belief that “true believers” must transform the earth into a White Christian Nationalist utopia - by conversion and/or by war - before Jesus can return.
He is also an antisemite and has made numerous documented anti-Jewish statements. It’s no coincidence that he sat down with Nazi incel white supremacist misogynist Nick Fuentes for 10 sessions earlier this year. Just look at his face in the image as he gazes at Fuentes. He looks like he’s about to blow his load.
To him, support for Israel specifically and Jewish people more generally makes one a *heretic. *He believes this strongly enough to write it on Twitter and risk being investigated by the FBI for threatening the life of a regime member.
Tomorrow, we’ll dive into other areas of disagreement that could be used to break up the radicalized extremist cult of White Christian Nationalism.
