The Washington Post reported earlier today that the text on an interpretive wayside panel at the former site of the Confederate memorial in Arlington National Cemetery has been changed. Language that refers specifically to the memorial as a “mythologized vision of the Confederacy” and its “highly sanitized depictions of slavery” has been removed.
