On Thursday, Donald Trump’s executive order restricting mail-in voting was once again blocked by a federal judge.

This follows days after the Supreme Court sided with the Trump administration on a procedural point, which was rendered moot once USPS issued its final rule on how it would implement Trump’s order.

Judge Talwani’s ruling makes the important point that with mail ballots going out as soon as next week in some states, there simply isn’t enough time for the administration to implement its rule for this year’s midterms.

This new ruling is likely to go back to the Supreme Court.

In other positive legal news, a judge has blocked the Justice Department’s request to drop the case against Steve Bannon, who was found to be in contempt of Congress.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s bid to be released from prison has been rejected.

ICE’s mass detention policy got smacked down once again.

And as the midterm elections approach, Donald Trump continues to hit new lows in approval.
