The face has texture. Not a tone. Not a mood. Texture, the thing furniture has. If you ran your hand across my cheek in August you’d assume I was made of the fabric on an airport chair.
Summer did this. Summer dries your face out and the dryness causes texture and the texture is not one thing. It’s a neighborhood. There’s the bumpy texture, tiny raised dots along the jaw that aren’t pimples and won’t commit to being anything. You can’t pop them. There’s nothing in them. They’re just there, like extras in a movie who didn’t get lines but still showed up in wardrobe.
Then there’s the dry texture, which is different and worse. The dry texture is a flake situation. It lives at the corners of the nose and the middle of the forehead and it makes foundation look like it was applied to a croissant. My skin in August had the finish of a rice cake. It had the personality of a rice cake. I would put on moisturizer and my face would drink it like a plant you’d forgotten about and then immediately ask for more. My pores were open. Not big. Open. Like they were expecting company.
I am not here to tell you to drink water. I’m here to tell you that I fixed it with two products for twenty dollars total, one you use twice a week, and within weeks the bumpy texture and the dry texture were gone. Mini holes for pores. Face like a peeled egg.
I’m going to tell you exactly what they are and exactly how to use them, because you’ll do it wrong and burn your face off.
