We observe the presence of ideological capture, and successful execution of political control through the use of ideological mind control alone.
We observe how this fuels the rise of misinformation/disinformation campaigns.
We observe how it drives a massive segment of the population toward less personal agency and toward being herded into ideological conformity.
We observe how eventually this leads to a breakdown of civilization as people realize how they have been manipulated, conditioned and fooled.
Once this ideologically fueled critical mass is reached the civilization enters free-fall fueled by incendiary rhetoric and propaganda and violence.
Literally every civilization has collapsed from some combination of these factors.
The methods we usually turn to to mitigate this simply exacerbates the problems.
There is a counterintuitive, but realistic and practical and effective method, to counteract this.
The sooner this method is applied the more effective it proves at turning the situation around.
Since the method itself is suppressed, because it works, it at first counterintuitive.
Counterintuitive because it is the last thing those in control of society want us to think of.
Like so much we take for granted in our controlled system, the keys to upending the control methodology lie in reverse engineering the customary methods.
Take whatever the most sacred popular opinion is and reverse it - and we arrive at a rather intimidating place.
This place is often sufficiently powerful to drive us right back into mainstream thinking - as the cost of taking an unpopular opinion is extremely high.
We humans are gregarious, loving and highly social - with the cost of going against the grain being such painful experiences as not fitting in - or at the extreme - ostracism.
Just about everyone has experienced this on social media - where express an unpopular opinion - and we experience instant outrage, anger and resentment - maybe even rejection.
Many who dared go against the Covid narrative were directly affected and even ostracized from the particular platform.
Today those who go against the mainstream on any topic are trolled, attacked, mocked and publicly shamed.
Fortunately we do have a method which counters this, but we are not trained to apply it.
This method is so thoroughly discredited, it is at first almost laughable, as it is so very simple - and so very devastating at curing the problem.
Because this method is so devastatingly simple and effective it has been all but outlawed for thousands of years.
Because the very thought of this method, named after the man who infamously used it to change a whole population - Socrates - comes with the knowledge that Socrates was assassinated.
Socrates and some other people who used the question well: Jesus comes to mind, the greatest scientists come to mind, and some relatively modern politicians also come to mind.
So if everyone who threatens the status quo with great questions is assassinated why would we take on such a method.
This might be the most dangerously brilliant question one could ask.
Especially as the subsequent questions and potential answers lead so devastatingly to some devastatingly brilliant conclusions.
Here we must ask the obvious question: Why would questions be so very dangerous?
Could we be contending here with the recognition that a well placed question could destroy this habit of aligning our minds with the mainstream sacred cows?
Could a simple set of questions upset the applecart based upon conventional thinking?
Could it be that conventional thinking is what keeps us under the control of a scarce 1% group of oligarchs?
Let us examine here what a well placed question does.
First and foremost it honors the person asked, immediately establishing that the questioner values the opinion of the person questioned.
Second a great question inspires true independent thinking - thus to take part in the exchange the person questioned is guided to honor the question with a good answer or with a better question.
Immediately this method breaks the chain, breaks the recursive loop which keeps us intellectually chained to responding with mainstream ideology.
It is not infallible, as questioning can lead back into supporting mainstream thinking.
Intelligently guided Socratic thinking works to bring about a breaking of the chain through inspiring independent thought, but it must be sustained using an intelligent system to work long term .
If it is not sustained through a guided process it will eventually degrade back into the devastating trap of recursive thinking.
Even a simple glance back at history will furnish an example:
Socrates taught Plato, Plato taught Aristotle, and Aristotle passed on the Socratic method to a man who used the method to instill control and manipulation: Alexander the Great.
The Socratic method may be adapted to reinforce the sacred cows of mainstream thought.
Only an intelligently guided Socratic method works against ideological capture, and, if not skillfully guided, leads right back into the deadlock of recursive thinking.
Approximately 80% of a Population Drives Mainstream Thinking
Which means about 20% of a population is willing to question the sacred cows.
Thus society ruthlessly pulls together to defend sacred cows, and rejects those who dare to question them.
Unfortunately there are many historical examples of how this mainstream thinking leads to dangerous ideological capture and to dictatorship, to ruthless military power and to police states.
Observation of every instance where a harmful ideology controlled a population illustrates this principle.
The worst 20th century examples: Communism/Socialism, Naziism, and other dictatorships such as the reign of Pol Pot in Cambodia -examples where large groups of dissidents were exterminated, with the acquiescence of many “ normal” people.
History illustrates that maybe 80% go along and about 20% stand against it.
In every case, it is this persecuted 20%, their numbers often decimated by death & imprisonment, which leads the population out of the ideological capture.
Although the example is painfully fresh, we can see this graphically illustrated by the Covid hoax.
Here we can see that about 80% went along, and still go along, despite evidence to the contrary, with about 20% standing against the hoax.
CUI BONO? Who benefits from preserving the status quo of mainstream thinking?
Who eventually pays the price for engaging in this status quo?
How often does the 1% who gain power and wealth from manipulating thought, pay a price?
What institutions strengthen thought manipulation?
What examples illustrate how institutions influence a population’s thinking and perceptions.
What examples from recent history illustrate who pays the highest price and points out who benefits?
Which modern examples illustrate how financial resources are diverted towards manipulating public opinion?
Which modern geopolitical leaders use Socratic style questions, those which undermine public sacred cows?
What modern examples demonstrate how people react with fear and loathing to Socratic methods?
What modern examples show how about 20% of a population engages in Socratic practices?
What modern examples show how 20% of a population may influence the 80% to begin to change?
Which individuals among the 80% are most unlikely to be influenced by Socratic methods?
