Substack Live with Gutter Catholic Daily Digest’s Shannon Vavich.
Vavich is a victim of military marital abandonment while overseas. (She calls this practice “the Dirty Discard.”) Since she began sharing her story, she has been inundated with former military wives who’ve suffered similarly. She is trying to raise awareness about this issue: in the military; in Congress; and in the greater US.

Yesterday’s newsletter introduced this week’s Executive Order (EO) on healthcare for US women and girls. If you missed it, click the link below:
It is important to read this EO because its language is different from others put forth by this regime. It sounds pro-women. Feminist. Like it actually might do something about the many shortcomings of healthcare for females.
Married as young as possible;
Denied advanced education or careers;
Pregnant just after marriage;
Bearing children without significant maternal healthcare or access to contraception;
Rearing children in the home while submitting to and supporting her husband as the “breadwinner;”
Denied the right to divorce for any reason;
Forced into caregiving for aging family members.
I’ve written reams about what the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 and Saving America by Saving the Family decree as women’s “proper” role. The above bulleted list was drawn from it. Before we review that work, it is important to consider how the surveillance piece is enabled in this EO.
Because it’s subtle. Most readers probably missed it.
On 21 March 2024, I wrote the newsletter Project 2025: How Christian Nationalist Sincerely Held Religious Beliefs Arm the CDC for Surveillance. I probably had around 300 subscribers then, meaning this newsletter is new to most of you. If you have a few spare minutes, please take the time to read it.
Let’s review Project 2025’s stated data collection goals for abortion for readers who don’t have time.
Data Collection.The CDC’s abortion surveillance and maternity mortality reporting systems are woefully inadequate. CDC abortion data are reported by states on a voluntary basis, and California, Maryland, and New Hampshire do not submit abortion data at all. Accurate and reliable statistical data about abortion, abortion survivors, and abortion-related maternal deaths are essential to timely, reliable public health and policy analysis.Because liberal states have now become
sanctuaries for abortion tourism, HHS should use every available tool,, to ensure that every state reports exactly how many abortions take place within its borders, at what gestational age of the child, for what reason, the mother’s state of residence, and by what method.including the cutting of fundsIt should also ensure that statistics are separated by category: spontaneous miscarriage; treatments that incidentally result in the death of a child (such as chemotherapy); stillbirths; and induced abortion.Project 2025, pages 455 - 456
In the referenced newsletter, I said the only way for the federal government to track spontaneous miscarriage; treatments that incidentally result in the death of a child (such as chemo); stillbirths; and induced abortion would be to SURVEIL EVERY PREGNANCY TO EITHER A LIVE BIRTH OR A REASON NO LIVE BIRTH OCCURRED.
Which sounded hysterical and hyperbolic way back in 2024. To many Americans, it sounds hysterical and hyperbolic now.
Despite the fact that the federal government has launched Moms.gov, which is mentioned in the press release for this EO and is designed to SURVEIL EVERY PREGNANCY TO EITHER A LIVE BIRTH OR A REASON NO LIVE BIRTH OCCURRED. (I am not linking to Moms.gov, but we will revisit it this week.)
This EO gives the regime a means to make Moms.gov the surveillance tool. It does something very different from the Biden EO 14120 (linked HERE) on Women’s Health: It makes the directors of most Executive Departments part of the committee.
Biden’s EO included the following Executive Departments: Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Director of the National Science Foundation. They were ordered to work with the head of the Office of Management and Budget where appropriate.
The regime’s EO includes the following Executive Departments. I have bolded those that are the same as Biden’s EO: Secretary of War (Secretary of Defense above); Secretary of Agriculture; Secretary of Labor; Secretary of Education; Secretary of Veterans Affairs; Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency; Commissioner of Food and Drugs; Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Director of the National Institutes of Health; Director of the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health; Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; and other members of the Administration invited to participate, at the discretion of the Co-Chairs (RFK Jr as **Secretary of Health and Human Services **and Susie Wiles, regime Chief of Staff.) They were also ordered to work with the OMB chair where appropriate.
The regime’s EO includes every conceivable federal department that could touch female healthcare and possess a database of female healthcare information, geographical location, employment, veteran status, use of welfare assistance, degree of education, pharmaceutical data, participation in prior research studies, or other related healthcare outcomes.
Now let’s look at this sentence from the regime EO:
These efforts may include advising heads of executive departments and agencies (agency heads) on opportunities to implement pilot programs that
improve incentives to integrateandprevention, early intervention, and treatment, in each case as deemed appropriate by the agency head and consistent with applicable law.remove obsolete silos between agencies, programs, or systems
-
Improve incentives to integrate prevention, early intervention, and treatment* = HHS should use every available tool,
-
Remove obsolete silos between agencies, programs, or systems *= consolidating all federal information using DOGE techniques, which are still embedded every federal government agency despite practically every talking head saying DOGE was a failure. DOGE IS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT NOW. They are at the phase of combining information across the federal government to build this uterus-surveillance database.
We can view this EO as a cynical PR stunt less than two weeks before a midterm election that is almost assured to be a wipeout for them.
Or we can see it as an admission of where they are on their fascist surveillance state creation checklist.
I believe it is the latter.
Tomorrow, we will look at the kinds of “improved healthcare information and outcomes” the regime might recommend. Because they’ve already told Americans what that means. It is beyond time to believe them.
Please share this newsletter with any persuadable voter who has a uterus. Because this crowd intends to treat her body like a uterus-possessing vessel owned and controlled by men - be it fathers, husbands, appointed overseers, and/or the government.
The Midterms are not a drill, Americans. VOTE EARLY.
