I find it very sad that Angela Kelly—the late Queen Elizabeth’s dresser and best friend—has been excluded from today’s celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II, for which the royals have gathered in London.

In a revealing interview with Vanity Fair’s Katie Nicholl, going live on The Royalist x The Daily Beast podcast at what we hope will be a permanent new earlier hour of 3pm EST / 8pm GMT, Katie, who has conducted the only interview with Dame Angela since the Queen’s death, tells me the astonishing details of how she has been snubbed and sidelined by the family and the establishment since then.

I also chatted to Katie about my bafflement that Dame Angela seems to have been deliberately whitewashed out of accounts of Elizabeth II’s final hours despite the fact that she was at her bedside when Her Majesty passed away.
