Zombie game targets stirdebate. 📱Nurse arrestedover alleged fentanyl theft. 💉Mace’s ex-fiancé facesvoyeurism charge. ⚖️
A Silicon Valley developer created a first-person shooter game set in San Francisco, and critics say its zombie targets stand in for homeless people. The developer, Pierre-Louis Biojout, has said he used AI coding tools to build it in one weekend.
The game, called “
Tenderloin Night Shift” has a zombie type called “the folded,” that critics say resembles the “fent fold.” The developer also posted that San Francisco could not fix the Tenderloin, a major area of addiction and homelessness, so he monetized it.**The split:**Critics call the game dehumanizing and say it frames shooting as the solution. Defenders note that players also shoot zombies on Lime scooters and food delivery zombies, which they call typical of zombie games and movies. Biojout reversed course Friday and announced he had taken the game down.
ICU nurse Leslie Ann Pope is accused of using a syringe to take fentanyl from a patient’s IV bag at Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital in Florida. She reportedly pocketed the syringe, left, and returned the next night.
The patient’s family member intervened and alerted her chain of command. Footage shows her handling the IV’s protective caps, but it is unclear whether she got any medicine.
**The case:**Pope was not assigned to that patient. She told police she answered an alarm for an IV blockage, which the family member disputed. Arrested last week, she faces multiple felony charges, which she denies, and is out on $150,000 bond.
Nancy Mace’s ex-fiancé, Patrick Bryant, and two business associates face charges tied to allegations she raised on the House floor last year. Mace accused Bryant and three other men of raping and assaulting her and several other women.
The arrests stem from a 2018 incident at the home of associate Eric Bowman. State agents allege Osborne performed sex acts on an incapacitated, intoxicated 23-year-old woman while Bryant and Bowman watched, and that the men recorded it.
The charges: Bryant faces voyeurism. Bowman faces voyeurism, obstruction of justice, and publishing a victim’s name. Osborne faces assault and battery and two counts of criminal sexual conduct. All three posted bond.
