Hot take:
Your business isn’t overwhelming you.
Your unfinished decisions are.
Most owners don’t end the day tired because they worked too much. They end it fried because they carried 47 open loops around in their head like it’s a competitive sport.
That’s how overwhelm sneaks in. Stress goes up. Output goes down. And suddenly you’re “busy” but not doing anything that actually matters.
In this week’s article, chief results officer Blaine Oelkers breaks that cycle with a simple system called OYO: Organize Your Overwhelm.
Here’s the version you can use before lunch:
Dump everything out of your head. Paper works best. Your brain relaxes once it’s not the storage unit.
Step away for a few minutes. Water. Movement. Oxygen. Revolutionary stuff.
Then make a fast pass through the list and decide:
Do it now (anything that takes 1–2 minutes, just finish it)
Schedule it (important, but not now)
Delegate it (someone else should own this)
Delete or defer it (not everything deserves attention)
**Speed matters more than perfection. **
Decisions beat deliberation.
Got a big task that feels heavy? Break it down until it feels doable.
✔️ Small wins create momentum.
✔️ Momentum lowers stress.
✔️ Stress stops stealing your focus.
If your days feel packed but progress feels thin, this is worth your time.** Grab the article for the full breakdown **and put OYO to work in your business this week.
