This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 1 Timothy 1:15
The midterm elections are next Tuesday and early voting continues in many states through the weekend, so please get out and vote.
President Trump canceled in-person rallies in Kansas and Iowa in favor of a blitz of tele-rallies in multiple states that can reach far more people. This sparked wild speculation of ulterior motivations, from rumors about what internal GOP polling might say to Trump needing to stay in DC to oversee an attack on Iran.
Trump has little patience for it. When a reporter with Reuters asked if he was canceling his trips because he was feeling sick of traveling, Trump shot back, “You are a sick guy.” Trump said he feels “perfect,” adding, “You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like h*ll.”
Fox News has set up a page to post continually-updated stories on the elections. You can find it here, but please ignore anything that it says about polls. The only poll that matters, or that will be accurate, is the one taken when people vote. So go vote!
We don’t know what explains the alarming change in Tucker Carlson since he was booted from Fox News, but his rhetoric gets more unhinged and groundless by the day. His latest dispatch from Bizarro World hit us close to home, since it was a very public slam at US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, the founder of this newsletter.
Carlson took to X to accuse Amb. Huckabee of “blowing off” an American who came to him for help after he was “beaten almost to death” by Israeli settlers. He concluded, “That’s disgraceful. Do your job.”
Carlson’s job apparently doesn’t include fact-checking. In a lengthy response, Amb. Huckabee called Carlson “deranged.” He presented a detailed outline of the alleged attack, complete with dates of the many attempts that were made to contact the alleged victim’s son in Chicago, who had “repeatedly asked that he be the only person with whom we speak.” Multiple attempts to reach him and obtain contact info for his father went unanswered. He claimed that his father was in a particular hospital, but US officials couldn’t reach him there. There’s even more, but all of it paints a picture of Huckabee and his staff going to great lengths to try to help someone who not only didn’t respond but might have been pulling a hoax.

And here’s the original X post with Amb. Huckabee’s reply, which ends with “Tucker, you can apologize when you find your conscience & acknowledge the facts.”
We wouldn’t hold our breath waiting for that, any more than we would while waiting for Tucker Carlson to recuperate from his brain-wasting hatred of Israel and become a journalist again.
Alaska Democrat Senate candidate Mary Peltola said she wanted to “clear the air” and denied knowing anything about a scheme to recruit fake candidates with the same name as incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan to peel off votes from him via deception and trickery. But the New York Times quoted Peltola’s former campaign manager Elisa Rios as saying that Peltola was not directly involved in the project, but she was “definitely aware.”
Sen. Sullivan isn’t buying Peltola’s denial. He said it was a secret project that they worked on for over a year, that Peltola and other Democrats “consistently and casually” lied about it directly to the Alaskan people, and, “Heck, Peltola is still lying about it, right?”
Finally, Tim O’Brien at PJ Media has a report on whether this scandal will spread to Democrat super-lawyer Marc Elias. Rios told the Times that a member of his law firm was involved. Our longtime readers will remember Elias’ name because his greasy fingerprints have been on virtually every effort to block or dismantle any efforts to protect election integrity, such as voter ID laws.
It’s ironic that media liberals are attempting to defend Peltola by claiming that Republicans must think voters are really stupid if they can’t tell which of the two Dan Sullivans on the ballot to vote for. Seriously? Does that take any less brain power than obtaining an ID, which Democrats claim is an impossible hurdle?
Oh wait: Maybe they’re assuming that Republican voters are smart enough to figure out the confusing ballot, but their OWN voters are too dumb to obtain an ID. Now it makes sense.
Thank you for reading the Huckabee Post.
